If you are a Master Mason in good standing, a Royal Arch Chapter is the natural first step into Delaware York Rite. You do not need to decide about Council or Commandery today.
What will I gain as a Royal Arch Mason?
The four Chapter degrees continue the story of the Master Mason degree. Many Brothers describe Royal Arch Masonry as completing what the Lodge began: further light, closer friendships with Masons across Delaware, and a path into statewide fellowship and service.
How does Chapter relate to my Blue Lodge?
Your Lodge remains the foundation of your Masonic life. Chapter does not replace it. Royal Arch Masonry builds on Lodge lessons and invites you into additional degrees, meetings, and friendships. Delaware Chapters welcome Master Masons who are ready to explore that next opportunity.
What happens when I join?
Start by connecting with a local Chapter (or ask us to help you choose one), meet a Royal Arch Mason, and petition when you are ready. An approved petition leads to degree scheduling. An inquiry does not guarantee acceptance or a particular date. The Chapter receives your petition, makes the customary inquiries, and ballots according to its rules.
Time and financial commitments
Chapters set their own degree fees and annual dues. Meeting schedules vary: some meet monthly, some on alternate months, and Daylight Chapter meets in the afternoon. Most Chapters are dark in summer. Confirm current fees and the calendar with the Chapter membership contact before you travel.
Who can help me get started?
Use Find a Chapter to locate a meeting near you, or email membership@deyrmasons.org. Grand Chapter leadership and statewide records are on the Grand Chapter page.
